On October 22, 2025, the Asia Research and Development Institute (Asia R&D) held a meeting with the American Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (AmCham Vietnam) in Ho Chi Minh City.
The meeting aimed to exchange views and outline directions for collaboration in research, innovation, and green economic growth, with a shared goal of strengthening connections among academia, businesses, and the international community.

During the discussion, both sides shared a common vision to promote ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) initiatives as a key foundation for sustainable growth.
Mr. Travis Mitchell – Executive Director of AmCham Vietnam in Ho Chi Minh City – emphasized the importance of ESG in enhancing the global competitiveness of Vietnamese enterprises. He also reaffirmed AmCham’s commitment to cooperating with research institutions to expand and deepen ESG practices within the business community.
Asia R&D introduced its key strategic focuses for the upcoming phase, including the ESG Program and the Healthcare Community Project, both centered on applied research and cross-sector collaboration. The Institute expressed its aspiration to strengthen cooperation with AmCham Vietnam to promote impactful research and innovation, contributing to sustainable development across Vietnam and the wider Asia–Pacific region.

Held in an open and constructive atmosphere, the meeting reaffirmed both sides’ commitment to maintaining dialogue and fostering strategic partnerships in research, training, and knowledge transfer. This initial engagement underscored Asia R&D’s role in connecting knowledge, advancing applied research, and contributing to Vietnam’s sustainable development in the era of global integration.
